The Grand Hotel is reimagined as a Bar and Restaurant facility that is in partnership with the UK based distillery English Spirit. The Grand is located in Leigh on Sea and is home to a mix of urban and rural areas including the Thames Estuary.

English Spirit creates unique flavours of spirit from vodka to tequila, sambuca, and gin in their own distillery and sells the bottles via their website and in their HQ.

This has been a source of inspiration and each floor which serves a different purpose is linked to an area within the site’s location. Other inspiration comes from different locations within Leigh on Sea and this has taken an effect on each floor within factors such as furniture, colour schemes, materials, flooring, and lighting. Although there is a common link between each floor being copper accents which links to the copper stills used in the English Spirit Distillery.

As you move up the building, the colour scheme changes and the exclusivity increases. The bar is inspired by the Thames Estuary and Leigh beach. This is shown through the navy and cream colour scheme, textures found with the flooring, walls and furniture but is also accompanied by copper accents. The Restaurant has a red and brick colour scheme along with copper features but has an urban vibe which matches Leigh Broadway.

The VIP floor has an English heritage green colour scheme with copper accents, dark wooden floors and walls, and a low light vibe to create the illusion of an exclusive area. The following selection include some technical drawing, digital mood boards, floor plans, sections, and 3D visuals to display each floor and the textures used within.
