Hi, I am Joe Lee Clements, currently studying Film and TV Production at the university centre in South Essex College,...

Chapter 23 is a diagnosed look at all the Life of Joe Lee Clements and the loss of his father. In January of 2016, Peter William Clements (Née Brownlow) died of Pneumonia and morphine overdose, 3 years after being paralysed due to a surgery. Joe was inconsolable from the loss of a prime family member and as such suffered in silence on how it was affecting him personally, privately and academically. This documentary looks at how people saw this outside of his world view and it looks at how loss affects a person in their own words.

This was supposed to be the last in a line of personal projects on the subject of how I managed to succeed from a low income household where I was ignored and emotionally neglected, how I made it from special needs education to Mainstream education, how going into care changed me from being a social inept child into a confidant young man and how the tragic loss of my father resulted into the change in behaviour. The main reason I made this part of the documentary was as a cathartic exercise in order to show how I progressed and how I have changed and adapted to the changes in my life. This film looks at the deeper meaning of loss and how I changed.

Give this some love
