My love for sewing has blossomed over the course of the last 3 years which has led me to pursue...

As part of my Personal Project in Year 3 I decided to make a recreation of Queen Victoria's wedding dress for a TV programme. I chose this project because I wanted to combine my experience in bridal with my love for history. The costume consists of a bodice and skirt with a detachable 5.5.m train and a handmade veil.

For my final university project I had to construct a costume inspired by a piece of art. I chose ‘Secrets’ by Charles Soulcroix. This is my interpretation of the blue Regency evening gown and I have made it with the intention of it being used for a TV programme which requires attention to detail for close up camera work.

As part of a first-year project I made Victorian style underwear including: a traditional corset, bloomers and chemise.

As part of the Royal Opera House Prize in my final year of university we were asked to choose between the ballet, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland or opera, Alice Underground. I chose to design and make a romantic tutu for the scene where Alice falls down the rabbit hole into Wonderland, worn by dancers of the corp de ballet to create a dreamlike illusion.
